About the Potter
All Pottery is handmade by Kelly Proulx in Airdrie, Alberta Canada
"I'm a studio potter based in Airdrie, Alberta. My passion for clay was sparked when I enrolled at the Alberta University of the Arts in Calgary (formally known as Alberta College of Art and Design, ACAD) at nineteen. It quickly became clear that my creative outlet was manifested best through working with clay and so began my four year journey as a Ceramics Major. My University experience taught me a lot and I am thankful to have studied under many talented Master Potters from around the globe.
With my work, I strive to combine artistry and design, focusing on functional pottery layered with texture and pattern.
In addition to making and selling my own pottery, I find joy in teaching people of all ages and abilities, which fuels my personal creativity and learning.
I believe in the power of creative experiences to enhance mental well-being, offering avenues for personal expression, stress relief, and appreciation of the arts within our community."
